My base talent lies in illustration. From a very young age, I could always draw nearly anything well. That led me to my educational path, then it oddly sparked my career on TV. Working in television, I taught myself motion graphics, which propelled my career. That experience and skill set is ever-present in every website I design now. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding career. Now, owning a business and elevating client brands… it’s a dream come true.
We have so much experience in motion design, print design, marketing, writing, UX for a variety of screen media, so we try to take on all of those types of projects. Mostly, we design websites, but we also provide a lot of “creative services” which drive and/or support a company’s marketing efforts. Includes print, email marketing, social media marketing, and writing.
It allows a new client a level of comfort in both hiring us and paying us what we are worth. Knowing we aspire to work at a higher level and compete at an international level does tend to impress clients as well.
Each of the three winning websites represents our attention to branding. Each website is designed to invite you in and experience everything they have to offer, and the layout leads you to learn more about the company, and inevitably to a simple call-to-action.
For two of the websites, we had photo shoots, one also had a pretty extensive video list. We brought in some of our favorite photographers/videographers, Shannon Confair for FMA, and Brandon Cobian for Heister House. Both performed outstandingly, but the coordination with clients, their staffs, the logistics of a wood mill, for example.
Well, it just lends even more credibility to what we do. It also offers us more opportunities to choose our clients at times… those who are serious about elevating their brand and do some serious marketing… no matter what size of company they are.
It allows me to be creative, and solve problems creatively. I work from my home office, which is terrific. The relationship you make with clients, freelancers, and doing great things with them… being their partner.
Pure democratic freedom, and freedom of speech. Every true American knows… achieving it wasn’t easy… keeping it is even harder, but in the end, there is no substitute.
Convenient technology will lead the way.
Have courage. Be a creative thinker and problem solver. Know your worth, and don’t settle. Be a leader.
Just get online and start searching. That’s what I do.
I would do this for free but would prefer payment in cookies.
I’d been blessed with some of the most caring and encouraging teachers and coaches in my youth. Teachers are the hands that mold the clay. I am forever in their debt. Jack Hill, Ruth Elder, and George Shue.
Trust yourself. Only YOU know the true depth of your talents, now go do something with them!
I just want to say thank you for the opportunity. I will always have these symbols of success on my mantel to remind me that yes, I did some pretty cool stuff in my day.
