Robin Kornemann

In 2014, Robin Kornemann moved to a permanent position as Art Director for the newly founded motion content agency Dreinullmotion. Since 2016, Robin Kornemann is Partner and Creative Director at DNM Dreiniullmotion GmbH and works with a great team on many projects.

After studying communication design at the University of Applied Science in Potsdam, I started in 2008 as a freelance motion designer. I worked as a designer, art director and VFX supervisor on a variety of projects, mostly for the auto industry. In 2014 I moved to a permanent position as Art Director for the newly founded motion content agency Dreinullmotion. Since 2016 I am Partner and Creative Director at DNM Dreiniullmotion GmbH and work with a great team on many projects.

Mostly our assignments consist of elaborate live media productions, which are realized in close cooperation with our sister company DREINULL. At the same time, the full range of motion picture content is covered - from corporate film through 2D / 3D animation to interactive media installations. In the team, we develop innovative concepts that make a product or a company unforgettable for the target group. For me, it is very important that the big ideas are visualized in the form of first-class design.

The award means a lot to us as a small company, because we can present our work to a broad public. In addition, we perceive winning the Muse Award as a recognition of the great team effort that has led to it.

The Audi Berlinale Pavillon has been accompanying the Berlin Film Festival as part of Audi sponsoring for many years. It is the touchpoint of glamor and brand. This year's Audi brand was all about the first all-electric car, the Audi e-tron from Audi. The Audi e-tron should be staged as a constant companion of the Berlinale, without letting it seem like a pure brand show.

Therefore, the entrance of the film stars of the Berlinale in the Audi e-tron came alive as an accompanying impulse. On two LED strips, which were mounted around the facade in 180 degrees, as well as on an LED strip directly on the red carpet, bright impulses were triggered as soon as an e-tron approached. Thus, the Audi e-tron became a secret star, as he provided the background for all press photos when the filmmakers left the red carpet along with the LED facade. For us, it was a big challenge to produce the content so that it could be set up in a modular way. After all, there were different film content every day. In addition, the timing of the incoming cars was not testable, because there was no trial period. Thus, we had to remain flexible. We could not re-render. All content is produced in high resolution as CGI. Ultimately, we've come up with innovative solutions to all of these obstacles, which in the end guaranteed a smooth flow in high-quality visuals. We are proud of this achievement.

So far we have been able to pinpoint the effects of increasing motivation in the team. Winning can be addictive ;)

1. At live events, the moment when you see the shining eyes of the observer, and you know that the concept has proven to be a success2. Realtime rendering3. Teamwork until the successful completion of a project

That's a very exciting question. Much of what is coming, we can not even guess now. The rapidly developing media technology opens up an enormous scope for us, which we will fill with ever new ideas. Visual spaces are going to merge more and more - my hope and challenge is that good design remains an ever-essential part.

A project will only be truly outstanding if everyone involved pulls together and fulfills their tasks with fun and enthusiasm, including the extra mile.

You need the ability to observe things. Be it the target group, the development of technology or the detail of other great projects that lead to your own inspirations. Technical skills are always learned as the last - in the implementation.

I would like to win an Olympic gold medal. Since this is unlikely to be the case anymore, I would like to participate at least in the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in a multimedia way.

1. GMUNK, because it combines design and technology on an absolute high-end level.2. My professor Lucas de Grot (font designer), because he gave me the detailed accuracy in his font development as a tool for the conception and implementation of my projects.

Passion for what you do and teamwork with whom you do it.
