As students of Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile, Alberto, Jorge and Nicolas worked with Getty Images to connect analog with modern technology by also making it accessible to everyone.

We are a team of three students from Chile consisting of two copywriters, Alberto Gormaz and Jorge Saint-Jean, and our Art Director, Nicolas Mardones.

We are thrilled to have won Gold in the student web/app category, and more so when it's an idea we fell in love with since day one. Being from Chile, this is our first international award so as you can imagine it's something we're going to cherish forever.

It's an idea we all love; we decided to work with Getty Images. We were determined to find a way to connect something so analog as film photography with modern day technology by also making it accessible to anyone. "The World's Biggest Museum" was born by developing an app that lets you see a photo in Getty Images's archive through your phone's camera in real-time.So let's say you're walking in Times Square, then you're going to receive a notification letting you know that you are near a photo. Then you point your phone in the direction the app indicates and there they are, the famous sailor kissing a woman in the middle of Times Square. Meanwhile, the rest of the image is in real-time.

Thinking of something that is truly relevant for an audience, as we scrolled thousands of ads and ideas daily. We really wanted to make something important.

It is a big step since we still are students and haven't started our professional careers. It's nice to have won an award, and it gives us more of an understanding of how things work without even have entered an agency yet.

Our favorite thing is that our industry is constantly moving so no matter how old are you, it keeps you up to date.

Our advice is to breathe advertising and always look for inspiration. Also, don't stay at the first idea or something that was published twenty years ago. People are increasingly looking for brands to offer them more than selling a product, and that is an advantage for us, as creatives, to reinvent ourselves. Don't put a limit in just doing traditional advertising, but in creating great ideas or solutions that people remember.

Competitions and awards are a great resource to improve your portfolio, especially for us as students when we still have the freedom to create ideas without limiting ourselves to a budget or client.Take a look at competitions too, as there will always be interesting brands to do something unique. That's one of the essential keys, in our opinion.

We, as a team, believe in being inspired by ideas instead of people. We have HUGE respect for the people behind the ideas we love because obviously, they exist thanks to the creatives that worked on them. The inspiration itself comes after watching endless hours of ads every day, something the whole team does because we love what we do.
