My name is Eliyan Cohen

I have started to develop an interest in photography ever since I was a kid. However as I grew older, particularly in college, I begin to do it professionally.

I started studying photography in Tehran, Iran and then I continue my journey as a photographer in New York, United Stated.

A color shot from an art-book with a hand on it. All the scenes positioning was arranged by myself, which was a kind of doing stage photography.

I am very honored to win the MUSE Photography Awards. With this winning, I feel like my language is understandable to the rest of the world.

The first work is called Dream. This image is my definition of well-ordered but hectic commotion of the city.

My second work is called Whatever. This image is about humans' constructions versus the nature that surrounds this creation.

I chose these projects to enter because New York City's stories, nature and its other elements are my favourite topics to talk about.

Winning this awards has elevated my career excellently.

The best piece of advice I have ever received is to always get along with the subject then start shooting. When you get along with your subject, you will understand them a lot better and eventually it will produce a great result!

Before you move into the photography world, you have to know what yourself first. What you love and what you inspire to be. I wish them the best of luck!

My key to success is do not give up easily and believe in yourself.

I use social media to find more inspiration or knowledge that I can use in my photography.
