The Golden Whale | Andrea Izzoti

Andrea Izzoti was working on a project of photographing whales when a humpback whale was caught breaching at the waters of Cabo San Lucas located in Baja California Sur, Mexico. This magnificent image captured the essence of the majestic giant, the Humpback Whale in all its glory. The image was taken during a windy day and the water droplets that cascades the whale was as if it was bathing in gold dust in the shimmering sky.

Volcano Night | Jürgen Büchel

Jürgen Büchel risked his being to capture this astounding photograph of a very active volcano at night. The fiery volcano is located 16 kilometers west of Antigua in Guatemala and is eminent for being almost constantly active at a low level with small gas and ash eruptions that happens every 15-20 minutes though larger eruptions are especially rare. The photograph illustrates a place of no entry and nature’s way of reminding the people of today of its gigantic presence.

On the surface with sharks | Sylvie Ayer

Sylvie Ayer had just finished her dive in a sea of shark-infested sharks located in Umkomaas in South Africa when she later realized this breathtaking split-shot of the sharks! The intensity of the image immediately reaches its highest point due to the close proximity between the sharks and Sylvie as they are notorious predators of the ocean. From the image itself, viewers could almost feel the magnitude and sheer power of the predator as they are in their element possibly at a curious moment in their lives as Sylvie plunges into its territory.
