Category Winners of the Year Uplifting the Standards of 2022 MUSE Photography Awards

Photographers can be categorized into a few different levels, based on how they see their work and taking into account the achievements they received. In this article, the Professional Category Winners of the Year, or rather the first half, will be introduced with their spectacular entries that secured them their titles. Images are a reflection, of both the mind and body. They often represent sparks of an avid individual, wanting to freeze time and implant them into their memories.

Standing out from their respective categories are an impressive feat, as it would require more than skills and precision to receive such accolades. It is the patience, devotion, and the urge to capture the perfect instance that accompanies growth within their minds and experience. Every image taken is a brand new affair, not only for the photographer, but also for the audience.

As a result, the Category Winners of the Professional group were selected. Relish in the atmospheres of the perfect images, and draw inspiration from magnificent artworks.

Soul Censures | Cristina Otero

Presenting her take on a self-portrait, Cristina has always been highly influenced by Bosch, which she felt fascinated by his creativity and inner world. His paintings often include secondary scenes, which led to her following in his footsteps. Diving into the theme of Platonic body-soul dualism, Cristina wanted to recreate what Bosch was brilliant in, by implementing it into her concepts.

Canterbury Cathedral | Glenn Goldman

Glenn has been winning awards for photography repeatedly with his artistic senses when it comes to photography, proving himself to be on top of the chain. This time, he dived into the retro ambience of England, portraying the Canterbury Cathedral, which, is located in Canterbury. You will be able to feel the magnificence of the cathedral just by looking at the picture, as it is surrounded with an atmosphere that radiates dignified senses.

Eclectic | Alexandro Pelaez

Taking approximately 5 years to complete, Eclectic is Alexandros’ magnus opus of double exposure photographs taken in street environments of different cities, countryside, and beaches across the globe. Elevating the imagination of his audience, Alexandro wanted to created something of beauty, while catering to visionary abstractions. Through such techniques, he is able to capture the true essence or a city or an area, while merging them together to provide viewers a magical and surreal sense of unnatural futurism.

Shepherd in the Glade | Daniel Towns

Daniel owns a German Shepherd that goes by the name Mav, and his shot of the canine was more than fascinating. Utilizing Mavs’ fun time, the image was a representation of Mav splashing through the water, launching himself while splashing waves over to the sides. He even stared directly into the lens of the camera, which was too great an opportunity to pass up. Wanting Mav to have an enormous amount of fun, Daniel edited the image on a black and white basis, changing the droplets to look like stars in the sky.
