(INTERNATIONAL – NOVEMBER 6, 2026) The 2026 NY Architectural & Interior Design Awards, presented by the International Awards Associate (IAA), has announced its Season 2 winners and the projects receiving the Design of the Year titles.
The results bring international recognition to outstanding achievements across architecture, interior design, landscape, lighting, furniture, urban planning, preservation, and conceptual design.
Season 2 received hundreds of entries from more than 20 countries, representing architectural practices, interior design studios, developers, multidisciplinary teams, independent designers, and emerging talents working across different cities, cultures, and project environments.
The NY identity represents an international meeting point for design ideas, professional ambition, and cultural perspectives. Participation is open worldwide, allowing all to be evaluated within the same international program while remaining grounded in their respective locations and purposes.
The Design of the Year title is awarded to the highest-scoring qualifying entry within each respective main category.
The 2026 recipients are:
• Interior Design of the Year
Guangzhou Wanbo Mehood Elegant Hotel, Panyu(Flagship) by JDKJ Design, China
• Residential Architecture of the Year
LA QUEROLA D'ORDINO, Andorra
• Commercial Architecture of the Year
Eastern Apex by HZS Design Holding Company Limited, China
• Cultural Architecture of the Year
Tashkent Exhibition Centre by Cross Works, United Kingdom
These projects lead the Season 2 results, representing achievements in which design vision, functionality, execution, and experience were carried through at an exceptional standard.
Featured winners include: Lev Designs, Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Limited + Aedas, Studia 54, MAXI Landscape Design Studio, KLIC Arquitectos, and many more.
Together, the winners show how design excellence responds differently to climate, culture, density, heritage, commercial requirements, and the ways people use a space. Each project is recognized within its own context rather than against a single geographic or stylistic definition of good design.
The complete Season 2 results and individual project profiles are available at nyarchitectureawards.com.
“The NY name represents the exchange of ideas, cultures, and professional perspectives that continues to influence design internationally,” said Thomas Brandt, spokesperson of IAA. “The winners bring that spirit into projects developed for different communities, climates, functions, and ways of living. What connects them is not one architectural style, but the ability to translate a clear idea into a space that works, belongs, and leaves a lasting impression.”
Entries underwent blind evaluation by an international panel representing architecture, interior design, urban planning, landscape architecture, academia, and related design professions.
Alongside the Designs of the Year, Gold and Silver Winners receive an official project profile identifying the entry, recipient, category, country, and award achieved. This provides a lasting professional reference for studio portfolios, project credentials, client presentations, media communications, and future opportunities.
The 2027 NY Architectural & Interior Design Awards is now accepting international submissions from architectural firms, interior design studios, landscape practices, urban planners, developers, hospitality design consultants, multidisciplinary teams, independent designers, students, and emerging talents.
