Designed as a steakhouse lounge, it captured the allure of the Rat Pack era while drawing inspiration from John Lautner’s organic forms, the stalactites of Carlsbad Caverns, the cinematic worlds of Star Wars, 1970s Italian Futurism, and Hitchcock’s suspenseful visual language. Every detail, from the angles of the bar to the texture of the walls, reflected a carefully curated vision.

Sixteen years later, B+W returned to Starlite, embracing the challenge of evolution without erasing history. How do you balance memory and transformation? The refreshed design retains the essence of the original while elevating it to a more theatrical presence. Raw rock walls now converse with rich fabrics and custom furnishings, crafting a tension between ruggedness and refined luxury that draws the eye and stirs the senses.

At the heart of the space, a hexagonal bar in travertine and wood anchors the room beneath a chandelier reminiscent of a starry night sky, a nod to both the bar’s name and its cinematic inspirations. Warm tones of copper, walnut, and velvet create an intimate, grounded atmosphere, while a mirrored ceiling amplifies the cave-like drama, expanding the visual experience for every guest.
