ART NOVA Taiwan Exclusive Agent Flagship Store

In June 2023, Taipei City, Taiwan, saw the completion of the ART NOVA Taiwan Exclusive Agent Flagship Store, a commercial space dedicated to showcasing imported Italian furniture. This project, renowned for its luxurious and textured design, reflects the sophisticated European style of the display goods. Through a harmonious blend of stone, mirrors, and low-color grayscale tones, the store exudes a simple yet modern atmosphere, with an undercurrent of minimalism and elegance.

Entrance Design: Symbolism and Elegance

The entrance of the ART NOVA store sets the tone for the entire space with bright and sparkling firework lighting, symbolizing satisfaction and perfection. The rounded ceiling lines and wheel-shaped wall cabinet designs soften the overall ambiance, creating an inviting atmosphere.

The marble wall facing the entrance, reminiscent of an ink-wash painting, features unique textures that resemble brush strokes. This design element not only depicts a magnificent landscape of mountains but also cleverly incorporates feng shui principles, representing the image of "support".

Sofa Display Areas: Contrast and Cohesion

The tower's design is a collaborative masterpiece, brought to life by the acclaimed architects at Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG), who have seamlessly integrated sustainability into every aspect of the building. Sculptor Richard Orlinski has added an artistic narrative to the structure with bespoke sculptures adorning each floor, while Leonardo ensures top-notch security. Designworks, a BMW group company, has crafted an interactive facade that transforms the building's exterior into an experiential canvas.

Bedding Display Area: Warmth and Spaciousness

The bedding display area is designed to balance the cold elegance of marble with the warmth of natural wood. Wood strips minimize visual obstruction and create a sense of spaciousness, adding warmth and a touch of nature to the space. This thoughtful design ensures a harmonious blend of cold and warm elements, providing a perfectly balanced ambiance.

Design Process: Collaboration and Precision

The design process for the ART NOVA flagship store involved meticulous planning and collaboration. The designer created 3D drawings to convey the design concepts and images to the owner. Through numerous discussions, the final plan was developed, integrating the owner’s preferred style and needs with precise 3D renderings.

Given the fixed forms and sizes of the display products, along with the necessity to comply with fire regulations, the designer focused extensively on the ceiling design to achieve multifunctional use within the limited space.

The ART NOVA Taiwan Exclusive Agent Flagship Store is a testament to modern design and architectural ingenuity. By combining luxurious materials, elegant design elements, and practical functionality, the store offers a unique and immersive shopping experience.

The collaboration between the designer and the owner resulted in winning the 2024 TITAN Property Award which showcases the beauty of Italian furniture and also redefines the commercial entertainment space with a fresh perspective.
