Aura Park, created by JFR Studio, is a visionary interior environment located in Hangzhou’s West Lake district, a region recognized for its thriving technology sector. Conceived as a 1,588-square-meter “cosmic playground,” the project explores themes of spacetime, artificial nature, and imagined realities through an immersive and interactive spatial experience.
Designed as a destination for discovery and engagement, Aura Park brings together architecture, multimedia technologies, artistic installations, and sensory design within a multiverse-inspired setting. The project reflects an exploration of evolving human consciousness, presenting visitors with a dynamic environment that encourages curiosity, interaction, and imagination.
Throughout the space, ethereal sculptures created by local artists are integrated with customized landscaping and water features. Interactive lighting, animation, and resonance systems work together to shape a layered sensory experience. These elements create a continuously evolving atmosphere that guides guests through moments of exploration, transformation, and visual wonder.
To realize this ambitious concept, the design team conducted extensive research into materials, construction methods, and visual technologies. The project incorporates glass-reinforced gypsum, customized metallic finishes, textured paint, patterned marble flooring, tempered glass panels, stainless-steel components, and ceramic surfaces. Advanced technological features include kinetic lighting structures, curved LED displays, transparent screens, programmable lighting systems, and specialized audiovisual installations supported by tailored digital content.
The development process required close collaboration among designers, visualization specialists, acoustic consultants, engineers, and artists. Detailed modeling, simulation, prototyping, and on-site testing ensured precision throughout the design and construction phases. Particular attention was given to the integration of interactive technologies within the project’s flowing architectural forms, with many components undergoing multiple stages of refinement before installation.
Initiated in October 2024, Aura Park was designed in Shanghai and completed in Hangzhou in July 2025. Through its innovative fusion of spatial design, technology, and artistic expression, the project received recognition in the Interior Design – Metaverse category, highlighting JFR Studio’s achievement in creating an immersive environment that bridges physical and virtual experiences.
