Hongtao Zhang, a professional photographer from New York Dreamer, a United States based company that celebrates photographers and photography captured an African-American model and influencer by the name of Barbie Tucker. The model hails from Ghana and displayed the astounding beauty and aesthetics from Africa.

‘Aesthetics from Africa’, a series of images, Zhang photographed Tucker against a dark background to highlight the beauty that she is with elements of gold visibly portrayed on her lips, eyes, accessories and headpiece. Elements of culture appropriating and fetishization was absent in the photography as it beautifully depicted African-American beauty through the eyes of someone who has a profound respect for beauty and culture.
