Shadi Al Hroub's background in brand strategy and organizational growth provides valuable depth to the Noble Business Awards judging process. His ability to evaluate both strategic execution and business performance helps recognize companies that set new benchmarks for excellence within their industries.
I am a Creative Director and strategic communication specialist with more than seventeen years of experience working across branding, corporate communication, business development, and organizational positioning. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with multinational companies, government entities, international organizations, and private sector brands across the Middle East and beyond.
This experience has given me a practical understanding of how businesses create value, build trust, communicate effectively, and achieve sustainable growth. As a judge, I assess nominations not only from a creative or communication perspective but also through the lens of strategy, leadership, market impact, and long term business performance.
I have always believed that recognizing excellence plays an important role in advancing industries and inspiring higher standards. Serving as a juror provides an opportunity to contribute to that process by identifying organizations and leaders who are creating meaningful impact. It is also a valuable way to engage with innovative business practices and learn from outstanding achievements across different sectors.
The most rewarding aspect is discovering the remarkable work being done by organizations and individuals who are driving positive change within their industries. It is inspiring to see how businesses overcome challenges, introduce new ideas, and create measurable value for their customers, employees, and communities. Being part of the process that recognizes these achievements is both professionally and personally fulfilling.
While every category has its own specific requirements, strong submissions typically demonstrate clear strategic thinking, measurable results, innovation, leadership, and sustainable impact. Evidence is particularly important. The strongest nominations are those that clearly show how objectives were achieved, what challenges were addressed, and what outcomes were generated. A compelling story supported by tangible results often distinguishes exceptional entries from good ones.
I look at success from multiple perspectives. Financial performance is important, but it is only one part of the picture. I also consider market influence, customer value, leadership effectiveness, innovation, organizational growth, and long term sustainability. The most impressive businesses are often those that create lasting impact while maintaining a clear vision and strong operational execution.
One of the main challenges is comparing achievements across different industries, business sizes, and operating environments. A rapidly growing startup and an established multinational organization may demonstrate excellence in very different ways. To address this, I focus closely on the specific context of each nomination and evaluate success relative to the opportunities and challenges faced by that organization rather than relying on direct comparisons alone.
Continuous learning is an essential part of my professional practice. I regularly engage with industry publications, business reports, academic research, international conferences, professional networks, and award programs across different sectors. Serving on international juries also provides valuable exposure to emerging trends, innovative business models, and evolving standards of excellence from around the world.
I follow a structured review process that allows me to evaluate each nomination thoroughly and consistently. I allocate dedicated time for assessment, review submissions against the published criteria, and maintain detailed notes throughout the process. This approach helps ensure that every entry receives the attention it deserves while maintaining consistency across evaluations.
Fairness begins with adhering closely to the judging criteria. I focus on the evidence presented in the submission rather than external perceptions, brand recognition, or personal preferences. Each nomination is assessed independently based on its own merits, achievements, and demonstrated impact. Maintaining consistency and objectivity throughout the review process is a priority.
Awareness is the first step in managing bias. I consciously separate personal preferences from professional evaluation and continually refer back to the established judging criteria. I also challenge my own assumptions by asking whether my assessment is supported by evidence within the submission. This disciplined approach helps ensure that decisions are based on measurable achievements, strategic effectiveness, and documented outcomes rather than subjective impressions.
