Interview with David Martinez | The Project Manager of Minimal Studio

David Martinez

David Martinez, Project Manager at Minimal Studio, has been passionate about transforming everyday objects since the age of five. He believes that exceptional design not only elevates functionality but also creates meaningful experiences, proving that life’s beauty is found in the details of thoughtful design.

Hi! David Martinez here! Design has always been part of my life, from the age of 5 I started modifying objects, always related to improvement and beauty. I believe that any object can reach its maximum beauty combined with design, this path led me to design homes and commercial projects. I found it very interesting to design a person's way of living or to design how to enjoy an establishment.

The ability to provide maximum beauty to any everyday object, and the possibility of designing the way of life of a person or group of them.

In Minimal Studios, we design experiences and provide visual and mental exclusivity, through the design and contribution of beauty and functionality to each of our projects.

Design is everything, a life without design would be a life without beauty and meaning. For us, design is 80% rock, 10% ballet and 10% heavy metal.

I like to create sculptural packaging, giving the sensory possibility of inhabiting a sculpture.

The ability to convey beauty and make you feel special. Life is about experiences and design is everything.

It was a challenge to create a vertical home. Create a unique sensory and perceptible beauty experience. Mixing concrete with metal alloys.

The sense of verticality.

In this case, I would say no but the motor world definitely has an impact on the design process.

Thank you! It is the consolidation of incessant and meticulous work. It is a confirmation of a work team that remains in the shadows, but without them, none of this would be possible.

It is a project that breaks standards, it is a home with an unconventional vertical projection. It is a very rock n roll project, we knew that design lovers needed to know about this project.

The contained space of the plot was one of the main challenges. The rest was like enjoying an incredible rock concert.

I think it reaffirms us and gives us more strength to continue with the radicalism that characterises us.

The beauty, the feeling of enjoying a conventional usable element and the exclusivity that we are able to convey. It all comes down to life experience through design.

Our design does not follow trends and uses materials not designed for this specific purpose, it is pure rock.

I believe the challenge will be to be able to provide the same sensation and aesthetic feeling while complying with the bio-sustainable trend of the moment.

Let them be themselves and trust their specific style, leaving aside possible trends and parallel comments about their aesthetics or aesthetic purity.

Let yourself go and find your specific aesthetic.

I didn't become a designer, I always was one.

I always say that I didn't look for the design, it found me.

Knowing that design brings beauty to the daily gestures of our lives improves any action to be taken.
