My name is Tamami Saikusa and after my career as a cabin attendant, I founded the design company L&B in 2016. We incorporated in 2018, and in 2020, I took on the role of design advisor for Yogibo.

I have an innate sense of beauty when it comes to space, and through my work, I frequently bring joy to my customers. This experience has made me realize that it is my true mission.

We specialize in renovating residences, villas, commercial spaces, and offices, primarily catering to an affluent clientele.

To me, design is as essential as living and breathing. It's the driving force that motivates me to get up each day.

I like designs that piques my interest because I find it very beautiful!

I believe that a good design would be a space that makes one's heart and mind at ease.

My designs often feature an abundance of color and light, creating vibrant and dynamic spaces. I believe that these elements can transform environments, evoking emotions and enhancing the overall experience.

By prioritizing client interviews and thorough research, we guide the design process from the initial concept. This approach ensures that our designs are tailored to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client, resulting in personalized and impactful solutions.

Winning a global design award boosts our confidence immensely. It validates our hard work and creativity, encouraging us to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in our future projects.

I resonated with the mission of the MUSE Design Awards, which inspired me to submit our entry. The award program's commitment to recognizing and celebrating innovative and impactful design aligns perfectly with our own values, making it a natural decision to participate.

Our biggest challenge was to address the difficulties presented by aging buildings.

Ever since we won, the way people perceive and engage with me has transformed!

Depth of learning and also how we are able to contribute to society.

In my country, we have a lot of small spaces which then presents us with a lot of wonderful materials to work with and the techniques applied to them would be specific which makes it all the more interesting.

I am very certain that AI will play a huge role in the design industry.

It's a long and difficult road but I also believe that its one worth traveling to. So, try with all your might and you'll experience something that you'll remember for a lifetime!

My mother is a huge inspiration to me.
