Thank you! My name is Meifang Zhou. I’m a creative producer and a content strategist.
I’m very grateful to the organizers for this Gold Award. When I first found out I had won, I felt deeply moved and thankful. This recognition is a big milestone in my career and encourages me to keep going and do even better work.
I submitted my work from Sisters Who Make Waves, where I designed the lipstick segment. Lipstick is more than a beauty item—it represents identity, confidence, and power for women.
I used 30 different shades to reflect not just fashion trends, but also the strength and diversity of modern women. I believed this message—using color as a symbol of empowerment—would resonate and stand out.
A key turning point in my career was working on the show Sisters Who Make Waves. As a woman in my 30s, I also faced the challenges of growing older in a fast-paced industry. This project allowed me to break through my own limits and better understand the emotional journey of women like me.
It made me realize how important it is to create content that empowers, encourages, and gives visibility to women as they grow. That experience gave me deeper purpose and direction in my creative work.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was adapting traditional cultural values into content that feels fresh and relevant for today’s younger audience. As I grow older, I’ve had to constantly push myself to stay updated, think younger, and explore new ways of storytelling.
It's not always easy, but this challenge has also become my motivation—to blend depth with modernity and create work that speaks to both tradition and the present.
Winning this award gives me more confidence to keep going, especially in moments of doubt. I also hope it encourages other women—especially those in creative fields—to believe in their ideas and keep growing.
I plan to continue building meaningful content projects that support cultural exchange, and I hope to create more platforms and opportunities for Chinese artisans and creators to be seen on the global stage. Recognition like this reminds me that creativity and persistence do make a difference.
Joining this competition has been a great experience. No matter the result, it’s a valuable chance to learn from other talented people.
For me, the biggest benefit is being able to see my own gaps, discover outstanding work from others, and use that to improve myself. It helps me grow and strengthens my creative thinking and competitiveness.
Yes, I’m truly grateful to my team. They gave me strong support throughout the project—especially during the lipstick segment, where we discussed and tested many different shades together.
From color sampling to trial runs, we worked side by side through every detail and challenge. Their dedication and creativity played a big role in making this project a success.
The world is changing rapidly, and the content industry is no exception. As a creative, I believe it's important to stay grounded. In a fast-moving, noisy environment, we need to slow down, stay true to ourselves, and find inspiration in real life.
Creativity still comes from details and emotions. At the same time, I’m also learning to embrace change—growing through it, and letting new experiences reshape how I create and connect with others.
Be yourself, and enjoy being yourself. Creativity comes from how you see and feel the world. Don’t doubt yourself too much—just keep learning, keep exploring, and keep pushing your limits. Every step, even the small ones, helps shape who you become.
I really encourage more young people to take part and challenge themselves. Don’t be afraid—just try. The process itself is already a great experience. If anyone needs advice or help, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned and hope my experience can be useful to others.
Next, I hope to collaborate with more local companies in the U.S. I want to produce more content that showcases Eastern culture—through videos, stories, and creative projects—and help introduce these cultural values to a broader audience.
At the same time, I also want to bring the positive aspects of Western culture, like freedom and equality, to audiences in China. My goal is to build more cultural exchange, understanding, and connection between East and West.
Thank you again for this recognition. I’m truly grateful. I hope to keep creating more meaningful content and short video works in the future—and I look forward to sharing them with a wider audience and the global creative community.
