I am Tanya Anand, a communication designer specializing in brand identity and UX research. Design has always been more than just a profession for me. It has been a constant source of motivation and direction. Over time, my focus has evolved into creating work that connects with human emotions rather than focusing solely on visual appeal.

My approach to branding is not driven by trends or by what simply “fits,” but by what genuinely belongs to a brand. I aim to build identities that feel personal, authentic, and deeply connected to the people behind them. I see myself as a design thinker, constantly exploring new perspectives and looking beyond the obvious to create meaningful and intentional design.

For a designer, what matters most is whether the work functions in the real world whether it helps a brand grow, connect with people, and build a meaningful presence.

I submitted this project with the intention of testing whether the work could truly stand out in a competitive global space and resonate beyond my own perspective and that of the company. I wanted to understand if the concept behind it had universal relevance and impact.

Winning this award helped me see where the project stands on an international level, and it feels like a step closer to my long-term vision as a designer. On a personal level, it reflects how far I’ve come and the journey behind it. Professionally, it reinforces trust in my process and motivates me to continue pushing my work further.

It started back when I was in college pursuing my design degree. I would spend my time finding real world problems and their solutions through design. While I was searching for work, I came across a startup which was functioning but needed branding. I saw potential and reached the founders with my re-branding proposal and coincidently they were searching for the same. I had discussions and brainstorming to understand what this brand truly means to the founders and the story of how it started.

A large part of my process was focused on restraint: understanding what truly needed to be communicated and removing anything that distracted from that core idea. I believe the strongest designs are often the ones that communicate the most with the least.

In today’s industry, where visual trends move very quickly and many identities begin to feel interchangeable, I think this project represents a different direction. One that values longevity, emotional connection, and intentional thinking over temporary aesthetics.

The concept behind this logo design is what sets it apart. Every logo carries a story and a sense of connection that helps people instantly recognize and relate to it. The intention behind this identity was to create something timeless, unique, and memorable while clearly communicating what the brand stands for.

The goal was to create a sense of connectivity and comfort for the people interacting with the brand. At the same time, the design subtly incorporates elements inspired by post production while reflecting the brand’s collaborative and friendly team culture.

The intention was never to make the concept overly obvious, but rather to create something distinctive that stands out through thoughtfulness and emotional connection.

When trying to stand out from competitors, staying true to the brand story while also remaining relevant can be challenging. Balancing multiple aspects of a project to find the right direction often leads to creative blocks, and I experienced the same during this process after going through several iterations.

To overcome it, I revisited the project from the beginning and retraced my creative thinking process to better understand where the gaps were. That helped me approach the work with more clarity and intention.

At the same time, I also made space to reset mentally by spending time in nature and following my hobbies , both of which help me refresh my mind and return to work with a clearer perspective.

This achievement means much more to me than just recognition. It brings me a sense of pride in my work and confidence in my creative process. As a designer, seeing my work recognized on such a global platform serves as a strong reminder to keep creating, exploring, and pushing myself further.

I see this award as a milestone in my journey and as a reminder to never give up on design. It motivates me to continue growing and creating work that is meaningful and impactful.

My family, colleagues, friends, teachers, and many others were genuinely happy and proud of this achievement, and they celebrated it with me. Seeing their excitement and receiving their wishes and support brought me a great sense of happiness and pride.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is knowing that the people who have supported and believed in me throughout my journey feel proud of this moment as well.

Everyone has their own unique strength; you just need to take the time to discover it. That begins with understanding yourself, trusting yourself, and learning to value your own perspective.

My advice to those trying to achieve something similar would be to never underestimate themselves or be afraid of taking risks. Growth often comes from stepping into uncertainty and allowing your work to evolve beyond your comfort zone.

As a designer, I also believe it is important to question every creative decision, even the smallest ones. Ask yourself why you are making a certain choice and what impact it will have on the people interacting with the design. Thoughtful design always comes from intention and awareness.

With the rapid evolution of the creative industry and the introduction of AI into design, I believe there is growing potential for more human centered work. As design continues to evolve, people are becoming more connected to the stories and meaning behind what they see, creating a stronger emotional connection with brands and experiences.

Today, audiences are not just looking at aesthetics alone. They are questioning why a design exists, what it represents, and whether they can trust it. I believe that incorporating human emotion and intentional storytelling into design adds a deeper sense of trust, meaning, and connection, which will become even more valuable in the future of the industry.

I believe that living with regret is far worse than taking a chance and failing. It is always better to try, learn, and grow rather than wonder what could have happened if you had taken the opportunity.

If you succeed, it motivates you to aim even higher and continue growing. If you fail, you return with more experience, learn from your mistakes, and come back stronger. Either way, the end goal remains the same: growth and progress.

I see every opportunity as a chance to let your work evolve and reach its full potential.
