Designed by Jihye Kim, VeriFlow is a trust-informed transit map that helps commuters make better travel decisions through real-time insights. Created for busy urban environments, the platform improves public transportation experiences by providing greater visibility into changing transit conditions.
VeriFlow brings together rider-generated observations, verified service alerts, and live operational data within a clear and intuitive interface. Users receive timely updates on service suspensions, overcrowding, and unexpected incidents, allowing them to understand route conditions before and during their journeys.
A key feature of the platform is the Route Stability Score, which evaluates the credibility and recency of reported events to indicate each route's reliability. Combined with live updates shared by fellow passengers, the system transforms real-time information into practical guidance that supports confident travel decisions.
Through thoughtful user experience design, VeriFlow simplifies complex transit information into an accessible and reliable navigation tool. The platform demonstrates how community-driven insights and real-time data can enhance everyday commuting with greater clarity and predictability.
This innovative approach to urban navigation received a NY Product Design Awards recognition in the User Experience (UX) – Product UX category, highlighting Jihye Kim's achievement in creating a user-centered solution for modern public transportation.
