Interview With Nicole Maria Oestreich from Germany

Nicole Maria Oestreich

Nicole Maria Oestreich is a self-taught photographer who has rediscovered her love for the craft. Currently, she is enrolled in a distance photography school and plans to earn a certificate for her performance. Nicole's goal is to use her photography to reach and inspire others.

Hi, my name is Nicole Maria Oestreich. I discovered my love for photography as a child. Due to various circumstances, I lost my love for a while. But I found it again a long time ago.

I taught myself everything I know about photography through self-study. I am currently taking a course at a distance photography school, which I started in October to get a lecturer's opinion on my photography. And to get a certificate for my performance in the course.

The first photo I took in my life was when I was about 5 years old, my Barbie with her Ken in the Barbie car.

I use my Nikon D7100 and the following lenses. Sigma 150-500 mm Tele and Sigma 70-200 mm Tele plus a Nikkor 50 mm and Nikkor 18-140 mm. macro lenses for 18-140 mm. Various ND filters.

I hope that I can reach people with my photography and give them a pleasant feeling.

When you take photos, it's like an artist filling the white canvas with paint.

My view of the world.

Spontaneous, emotional and focused.

It means a lot to me. The picture I submitted is very important to me in its message. It was a great honor for me to be able to take the silver place in the category.

You can see Thyssenkrupp in my work. The photo was created to tell how many workers in the industry give up their health, and how dirty and hard the work is, but the company paints itself colorfully on its gasometer and other buildings while workers sweat inside in exchange for their health for money. I thought this picture would be perfect for the Architecture- Industry category because the exterior of the industry always looks impressive and large. In contrast, important workers seem small and inconspicuous.

Time will tell what comes.

Edward Weston, Bernd and Hilla Becher and Ansel Adams.

There are ups and downs, only those who survive both can make it through.

Go your own way and don't follow a trend but what you love.

My family encourages me to do what I love.

Attentive and interested.

I am happy for each winner and wish them well in their future projects.

The industry is dirty and gray... But it can also appear beautiful in its architecture...
